My rating for this property would be 2.5 and not essentially 3. Visited the place with my entire family. While the experience up till the point of sale was pretty professional the place really doesn't live up to it. The property has two identical floors claim with two and a half bedrooms. Though they sell them as three bedroom. It's an old bungalow which demands a lot of up-keep. From basic flooring to furniture upholstery to pillows, Matress , linen. Other interesting thing...If you are a morning person stay away coz they won't get you tea till 8.30-9 The whole thing about every day ration purchase is also fairly unique.

I booked The Bungalows- Snow View after looking out for dozens of options in Shimla and Nainital, eventually while flipping through websites I came across this property from Leisure Hotels in Ramgarh and called up their customer care, where the travel advisor (Ms. Priyanka) convinced me to book this property. We were 3 families, which included two sets of parents (my in laws as well). It was a 8 hr drive from Delhi to Ramgarh and the property was conveniently locatable. The Bungalows is a concept different from the usual hotel room concept. There are two Villas each having 3 rooms. So we had booked one villa. There is no menu card for food as u get a cook at ur disposal. And believe me it was a treat. Our cook Rajinder was just perfect, we ordered anything and everything and were treated! Coming back to the property, along with the rooms u get a huge dining space and a lobby which has a picturesque view of the valley and thanks to the weather gods the temperature were kept around 14-23 with rains and clouds hovering around. All in all a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city or even the mall roads. Would like to specifically mention the efforts of Mr. Bungla who was in real terms a Care taker and Jeevan who tirelessly worked to make our stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely visit again!

Amazing stay for friends and families. We "6" stayed there in the first week of May. Awesome weather, beautiful location, well maintained rooms, and great staff. Glasshouse is simply amazing. Visited in May 2016 with 6 friends, stayed for 2 nights... Had an amazing experience... The level of hospitality extended by Mr Bungla n his team was outstanding, deserves 5 stars... British-era property with picturesque setting...the cook served us sumptuous food..in fact quality of food was top notch...all of us had an incredible time at the property along with awesome experience... Would love to b back here with friends n family..

Property is totally damaged, No maintaince, full night power cuts without any power backup, snakes and bichhoos in the bathrooms, damaged wooden floors with broken areas , very unsafe for our kids, worst kind of electricity controllers, even unable to charge our cell phones coz of their antique switches, I haven't find anything to appreciate here other than the location of this place. They have ruined the whole experience of my trip this time. I have been to RIVER VIEW RETREAT, RAMNAGAR for more than 10 times, and its my all time favorite and just because of Leisure group I have decided to stay here. Trust me I have lost my precious time and hard earned money by staying here. Worst, worst , worst experience of my life.
